Thanksgiving Colors

Path to Center Circle
Heatherwood Autumn

Oranges, reds, yellows, and browns are the colors of Thanksgiving. Heatherwood, in the late fall, displays these colors throughout the garden. We cook our Thanksgiving turkey outside. So even with all the football games going on, we venture out every half hour or so and enjoy the fall colors around us.

We have so much to be thankful for, including this little spot of Eden. We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving as you enjoy it with family, friends, loved ones, and each other!

Happy Thanksgiving

“Fall Color”
Heatherwood Autumn

Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday. I remember the wonderful times up at the Ranch with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Ben, all of my aunts and uncles, Mom and Dad, and 4 of 5 of my siblings. There were 15 of us back then in the 50’s. Our family has now grown to about 75 comprising four generations: aunts, uncles, our generation, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins, and all the spouses. Back in the 50’s we were all together up at Grandma’s and Grandpa’s. Today, we are spread out over Washington, Oregon, and New York. I miss the old days when we were all together, but time passes and new experiences open up. Each day adds to my list of memories of a wonderful life.

There is so much to be grateful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Bloedel Reserve, Bainbridge Island, Washington

Happy Thanksgiving to all.  Here’s an abundant harvest of pumpkins and squashes from the Bloedel Reserve.

Today is a special day to give thanks for our health, families, friends, and the wonderful world that we live in.  Each day, each moment is a gift.  Each of our roles is to step back and cherish each moment we are given, to live a full life, to make the world around us a little better, and to make someone’s life a bit happier.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!

Happy Thanksgiving – A Walk Down a Golden Path

131128_Walk in the Forrest_Abstract by Karl Graf. Canon 5D MKIII with EOS 70-200mm 2.8L IS @ 200mm, f/8, 1/160 sec, ISO 1600

Happy Thanksgiving to all our family and many, many friends.  Today is a day to step back and reflect on all that we are thankful for.  Karen and I enjoyed our morning cup of coffee sitting in front of a fire as we reflected on many of the wonderful experiences that we have had together with each other, family and friends.  We look forward to many more in the future.

This abstract is a 9-image multiple exposure taken in a vertical pan down the trunk of tree.  It was taken during a walk down an autumn path with my good friend Stan.  It makes me think of, and be thankful for, the many beautiful places I have been.  I look forward to many more strolls down such golden paths with Karen, friends, or off on my own.
